Constituting a major commercial enterprise on a highly visible site adjoining a prime residential area, Croydon’s BMW/Mini dealership had to be both eye-catching and sensitive to its surrounding environment.

Architects JHA Ltd envisaged a bold rectilinear design sheathed entirely in brilliant white Reynobond Rainscreen adhesive-fix cladding. This extensive facility included not only state-of the-art showrooms for both BMW and Mini dealerships, but workshops, a car wash and a used car sales canopy. Central to the success of the project was the careful monitoring of  meteorological conditions .Temperature and humidity readings were recorded at regular intervals throughout each working day to ensure that these were within specified allowable parameters to guarantee optimum adhesion of the cladding during installation. The result is a strong, attractive, extremely durable cladding envelope with virtually no visible fixings.
